  1. Heat ghee in a sauté pan on medium heat.
  2. If you’re adding in any of the optional additions, add them in now. I’ve added pecans, almonds, and raisins in my recipe. Sautee these for 1-2 minutes on low heat as you don’t want moisture to remain and make your puffed rice stale.
  3. Add turmeric and asofoetida. Within 15-30 seconds, add in curry leaves and black salt.
  4. Immediately after, add the puffed rice
  5. Stir for 4-5 minutes on medium heat until puffed rice is heated through and everything is mixed thoroughly.
  6. Let puffed rice cool completely before storing in an air tight container
Recipe Notes

*Vata – add an extra 1 tbsp of ghee, be sure to use asofoeitda, and only eat this occasionally

*Kapha – Skip the raisins
